Safety
When it comes to safety, what you do not see is often as important as what you do see. At Delcor, we document everything-from near misses to actual incidents. We know that tracking near misses (and making adjustments based on their trends) helps prevent more serious incidents from occurring.
We have also taken a proactive approach by inviting OSHCON regulators to inspect our facility. We are proud of our safety program, but we are always in a process of continual improvement.
Our clients can be assured of our commitment to safety because we invite them to be a part of it. They are encouraged to attend our yard walk-throughs, where Delcor employees (from all levels of the company) participate in surveying each part of the yard to identify any potentially risky or unsafe practices. Identifying trends on a continual basis helps us tailor our continuing education and safety training to meet our needs as we continue to grow and expand our fabricating capabilities.
Training is an ongoing and integral part of our safety program. Each of Delcor's foremen is certified in OSHA's 10-hour class, and all employees are incentivized on a "hazard recognition" basis, rather than the absence of recordable incidents. This ensures that our employees are comfortable and motivated to identify risks, rather than sweep them under the carpet.
We welcome the opportunity to further discuss the importance and priority that we place on safety.
